Antimicrobial sponges contain PHMB (Polyhexamethylene Biguanide), which resists bacterial colonization in the dressing and penetration of the dressing. Provides protection against gram positive, gram negative, and fungi / yeast microorganisms, including MSRA and VRE, and limits cross contamination.
