Vacuum erection devices: the basics
Vacuum erection devices, sometimes called vacuum therapy systems, are non-invasive, drug-free devices commonly used as part of erectile dysfunction management. A cylinder is placed over the penis and a pump removes air from the cylinder, creating a vacuum that draws blood into the penis. When the system is used with a tension ring, the ring is placed at the base of the penis to help maintain the erection after the cylinder is removed.
This collection includes manual and battery-powered systems from Osbon ErecAid, Osbon Esteem, and Encore, plus compatible rings and replacement parts. Some devices require a prescription; review our prescription policy before ordering.
Manual or automatic pump?
Both styles use the same basic vacuum principle; the difference is how the vacuum is created.
- Manual pumps use a hand-operated bulb or pump. They suit people who prefer a simple mechanical system, direct control, or no batteries.
- Automatic or battery pumps use a battery-powered pump. They may be easier to operate with limited hand strength or dexterity.
- Tension ring sizing is not one-size-fits-all. Follow the manufacturer's sizing instructions and your clinician's guidance. An incorrect fit may be uncomfortable or may not work as intended.
- Replacement parts. Rings, cylinders, sleeves, seals, and batteries may need replacement. Select parts made for your system whenever possible.

Afex® male continence management
