Tracheostomy Care

Tracheostomy patients need assistance to mobilize secretions. In addition, many patients may have conditions that predispose them to stagnation, and Humidifiers and pulmoneb nebulizer compressor are recommended. Patients and/or caregivers must remain diligent in providing routine suctioning and cleaning of the Tracheostomy to both remove secretions and prevent infections.
