Foley catheters are named for the surgeon that invented the design and are the most commonly used indwelling catheters. A Foley catheter is a thin hollow tube inserted through the urethra into the bladder to drain urine. Daily cleaning is necessary and these types of catheters are replaced every ninety days. We offer several variations, including multiple balloon and french sizes. Many are coated with hydrogels and silver to reduce bacterial adherence and minimize biofilm formation. A variety of tips are offered to reduce friction and improve comfort upon insertion.
